My Monday Make

Last night I set about making some hand cream, my hands have been feeling fairly dry and rough with all the outside work and I hate it when I am working with fabric or yarn and they catch on rough skin, I am not a gloves person, although I have tried but they end up coming off
Assemble the ingredients
1/4 cup Olive Oil, 1/4 cup Sweet Almond Oil, 1/4 Coconut Oil, 1/8 cup Beeswax, 1/2 cup of Rose Water and 10-15 drops of essential oil of your choosing I went with Orange essential oil.
Set up a bowl over a saucepan of water and add the oils and beeswax warm it gently together until the beeswax is melted,
then pour into a mixer and whisk together slowly adding the rose water
beating it causes it to emulsify making it nice and creamy
then add the essential oil
give it a final beating to blend in the essential oil and pour into your chosen container
It really is lovely and creamy and smells delicious, if you want it more solid add more beeswax.
I also put some n my feet as well after a winter of wellies they need some TLC.
Last time I bought cream for cracked heels it cost me £6 for a little tube that was a good few years ago, I don't know what hand cream costs as I haven't bought it before, I usually use what ever I have been given as pressies although sometimes I have found the smell over powering.
This cream feels greasy but soon soaks in.
