Meet Puppy Piper

This little puppy Piper, he was born on the 14th December, he is the puppy we are sponsoring for Dogs for the Disabled, he has been named after our company Piper Scaffolding
Piper has a long journey in front of him, he has 14 months of training ahead of him and if he is successful in his training he will be partnered with some-one as an assistance dog giving them independence, I have a friend who had an assistance dog Tara, so we have seen first hand what a difference these dogs make to a disabled person, unfortunately Tara passed away a few weeks before Kara came to us, hopefully she will be partnered with a new dog very shortly.
We adopted Kara when she retired as an assistance dog, its going to be great following Pipers journey and watching him develope the skills that Kara has and giving some-one independance as we saw with Tara. Who knows in years to come Piper may come here to us when he retires.

  1. What a wonderful thing to do! I'm sure Piper will bring independence and joy to the lucky person who he is partnered with

  2. In agreement with Chickpea. You are 'giving back' twice - sponsoring Piper and her new owner and also providing a loving home for Kara now she has retired. CMW

  5. Hi dawn it's maggie. You are both a lovely friend and your also doing so much for these dogs. Tara is sadly missed . However I'm glad we both got to spend that time with you and Kara looks to be a very happy contented girl. Will keep you up to date on my new assistance dog. X

  6. He is so cute! What a sweet face. I think all animals love having a sense of purpose, and this is truly a noble one. I like that.
